Black Apple Doll

So, I'm pretty proud of myself. I spent all evening working on a Black Apple Doll. You can get more info on the creator Emily Martin and actual templates/tutorials on Martha Stewart's website at http://www.marthastewart.com/article/black-apple-doll

They're really cute, and I wanted to make one for my daughter Adeline - I definitely can't give it to her now, she'll just rip it (or bite it) apart, but I think it will be nice to have something that Mommy made for her when she gets a little bit bigger!

Obviously, she's not perfect, but I think I did awesome for my first try! And she is almost entirely hand sewn, I used my machine just for her little arms and legs! I can't wait to make more for the other lil women in my life!

Here's a pic of my little doll too!

Actually, I would want one too (even if I didn't have girl child), they're the perfect decorative item for a bookshelf or something...I will definitely whip you up one (and just cuz you're my sister)...what colors would you like to see in your doll's dress/tights?? What color hair? It's fun, cuz there are so many vintage-y looking prints that you can work with.
